Based in SW Wales (UK) near Swansea. I have a background in breeding & showing welsh cobs, having grown up at Cilsane Welsh Cobs in Llandeilo. My father, Hefin Humphreys, bred a number of successful Welsh Cobs at Cilsane Stud, including Ebbw Prince. Sire of the wonderful Ebbw Victor (bred at Ebw Stud), one of the most successful and influential Welsh Cob stallions of his generation.
I have owned many different dog breeds over the last 40 + years. I bought my first Pug in 2009 and instantly fell in love with this wonderful, crazy breed. They are very much loved and are a huge part of our family.
An Associate Member of The Royal Kennel Club, I am actively involved in the canine world as a committee member of the Wales & West of England Pug Dog Club and several local canine societies. I am approved to judge at Open Show level and to award Challenge Certificates (CC`s) in Pugs. Alongside my judging commitments, I regularly travel all over the UK exhibiting at Open & Championship Shows, where my dogs have enjoyed ongoing success over many years.
We are a small, home-based breeder with a domestic, in-home breeding licence, and our dogs receive the highest standards of care. We are DBS checked and regularly inspected by both Vets and Trading Standards. Our litters are carefully planned with health, temperament, and the breed standard in mind. Every pup is born & lovingly raised within our home alongside our adult dogs, just as they should be. We occasionally have puppies available to suitable homes.
Prior to breeding , All of our dogs are HEALTH SCREENED for Hemivertebrae, Patella Luxation, PDE, DM, and PKD. We also carry out BOAS (breathing) testing. Whilst we cannot completely eliminate the risk of our puppies developing any of these conditions, we believe that, as ethical breeders, it is our responsibility to do everything we can to minimise those risks. A heart felt thanks to everyone who has owned, and campaigned my dogs alongside me over the years. To date, we have three Champions, won 14 CCs, 15 RCCs and achieved Stud Book numbers for 18 dogs.
